Taranath Shikshana Samsthe, originally known as Raichur Education Society, registered under the Hyderabad Societies Registration Act, was founded by the late.Sri Pandit Taranath. Pandit Taranath came to Raichur as a humble teacher in the government high school. Being a great patriot, nationalist, intellectual and educationist, he could not tolerate the repressive measures of the Nizam Govt. He quit the post and with the support of a few like minded friends started the ‘Hamdard High School’ in 1920. The school later grew into a high school and became a beacon light for the establishment of arts, commerce, science and law colleges. His yeoman service in the field of education had encouraged a group of Philanthropists to constitute an educational institution – Taranath Shikshana Samsthe – named after him.
In memory of late Pandit Taranath, the management built a bhavan in S.S.R.G. women’s College, which exhibits a wide spectrum of the noble service – the Pandit contributed to the educational field of the Hyderabad Karnataka area. The educational philosophy of late Pandit Taranath is ‘All but love is gall’ : this speaks enormously about the missionary goal of the great soul. the Management of the Samsthe is under the steward ship of Sri Parasmalji Sukhani as president and Sri M.Nagappa as secretary – who are great educationists. At college levels, governing bodies have been constituted to assist and implement the policies of the Samsthe – apex body. The members of governing bodies belong. To different segments of society and are capable of steering the institutions well, keeing in mind the philosophy of the founder – Pandit Taranath.
